School Residential Visits

A Camp With Us

We offer 2, 3 and 5 day school residential visits for Year 3 up to Secondary age students. We offer a range of activities such as shelter building, archery, fire lighting, toasting marshmallows on the campfire, guided walks to a selection of outstanding beaches, beach time including paddling, canoeing and Forest School exploration. 

Some of the skills and experiences young people will gain from a stay at Forest and Beach:

• Planning and packing, before they come and during their stay!
• Setting up their campsite bed, getting their tent ready with friends.
• Building a fire during Forest sessions as well as campfire time with their school adults during the evening.
• For some children learning to try food they have not tried before.
• Building and enhancing relationships with their supporting adults, teachers, teaching assistants, governors and other school adults who love to come along!
• For School Adults- seeing your children thrive in a different environment and have time to interact, chat and laugh!
• Exploration of their local surroundings, learning about native flora and fauna, discussions during breakfast, lunchtimes or evening meals about what they might have seen.
• Safety Skills, learning about personal safety when playing outside, keeping themselves and their friends around them safe during risky play.
• Learning the importance of wearing the right clothing for the weather conditions from sun hat to warm clothing (this for all ages!)
• Investigating bats that fly around our site.
• Washing up and clearing up after themselves and others.
• Being responsible for their belongings (They will lose items and then find items!)
